Neymar is reportedly ‘incredulous’ about PSG’s decision to block his move back to Barcelona .
Brazilian superstar Neymar made no secret of his desire to return to the Nou Camp after two seasons in Paris.
The two clubs held face-to-face talks last week with Barca prepared to meet PSG’s asking price of £180m (€200m) by offering to send players in the opposite direction.
But it has since emerged PSG were calling Barca’s bluff with owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi telling club officials earlier this summer he would not let Neymar go for under £272m (€300m).
He knew Barca would not be able to get anywhere near that sum and Neymar is said to be feeling a ‘mixture of frustration and anger’ with the club.
SPORT reports the Brazilian feels PSG are punishing him because the deal made sense for PSG, both from a sporting and financial point of view.
Neymar reportedly told his teammates, boss Thomas Tuchel and the club’s owners that he wanted to leave when he left Paris in May at the end of the season.
He will now remain in Paris until January at least, although Barcelona are confident they will be able to land him then, or next summer.
The Brazil star can leave PSG next summer if a club pays close to £154m, with Barca expected to renew their interest.
Neymar has been sidelined with an ankle problem and has not featured so far this season but had been called up to the Brazil squad.
He will hope to return to action after the international break as PSG look to build on a strong start to the season.
