David de Gea to Reject New Man Utd Deal And Leave On Free Transfer Next Summer

David de Gea is set to reject a new Manchester United deal and leave on a free transfer next summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils have been in contract talks with De Gea’s representatives for months, but are yet to come to an agreement.

The Sun claim the 28-year-old has told friends he is preparing to snub a whopping £350,000-a-week deal at Old Trafford.

Failure to agree new terms before January could see De Gea sign a pre-contract deal with an overseas club.

Juventus are reportedly interested in snapping him up on a free transfer, just like they did with former Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey earlier this year.

Solskjaer appeared confident of securing De Gea’s future in July.

He said: “David’s had a summer now where he’s been negotiating and thinking about his contract, so we hope that we’re going to get it sorted soon.

“I’m positive. Of course, with David, I’ve said many a time how lucky I am, and how happy we are, to have him in the goal.”

“So we hope he stays here for many years.”

In the absence of Ashley Young, De Gea has been wearing the captain’s armband this season.

The Spain international joined Manchester United in an £18.9million deal from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
