Manchester United beat Chelsea 2-1 to progress to the quarter finals thanks to Marcus Rashford’s superb free kick.
Daniel James was brought down by Marcos Alonso inside Chelsea’s 18 box. Rashford, who had already missed two penalties so far this season, didn’t miss this one as he shot in a lead for Manchester United.
Chelsea had the chance to equalize when Michy Batshuayi rolled the ball past United’s defence.
But Rashford doubled the goal with a sensational free kick from 30 yards.
The Red Devils held their defence despite Chelsea’s spirited efforts and ended the game with a 2-1 victory and a ticket to the quarter finals.
