Messi Nets Hat-Trick As Barcelona Thrash Celta Vigo 4-1

Barcelona maintained a perfect home win this La Liga season by beating Celta Vigo 4-1 at Nou Camp on Saturday, thanks to Lionel Messi’s hat-trick.

Messi made man of the match with a wonderful performance on Saturday’s game by scoring a hat-trick for his club.

Barcelona made a very slow start in the first half with the team’s passes rarely making it past the well organized Celta’s defense.

But Celta’s defender, Aidoo committed a handball inside the 18 box. Messi took up the penalty and scored 1-0 lead for Barça.

Yet, there was no improvement from Barça until Celta slowly but surely built momentum and began to attack.

The visitors were eventually awarded a free kick when Messi committed a foul and Olaza equalized for Celta.

However, Barcelona were given another chance to score when Messi was fouled and awarded a free kick. The Argentine star superbly scored the goal to put his team back to a 2-1 lead just as the first half ended.

The second half started with substitute Ousmane Dembélé nearly scoring the third goal for Barcelona.

A couple of minutes later, Messi scored his hat-trick with another free kick.

Barça maintained their attacking performance, aiming for a fourth goal. Luis Suarez was brought in to replace Griezmann but he couldn’t score any goal.

Sergio Busquets finally answered Barça’s prayers by finding the back of Celta’s net with the fourth and final goal for the night in the 85th minute.
