Xhaka ‘House Hunting In Milan’ Amid Rumoured Potential Arsenal Exit

Former Arsenal Captain, Granit Xhaka has sparked speculation of leaving Arsenal after he was stripped of captaincy in the team.

The Swiss international has been rumoured to be ‘house hunting in Milan’ as he aims to join the team during the January transfer window.

Xhaka didn’t play in Arsenal’s last four matches following his angry outburst at fans during the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last month.

He was stripped of his captaincy which was given to Aubameyang. Emery had already explained that he (Xhaka) accepted his punishment because he knew he was wrong for insulting his fans.

That didn’t stop rumours from spreading that he wants to leave the Gunners for Milan in January.

Swiss outlet, RSI, reported the 27- year old was looking for a house in Milan where he would be hoping to join ex-Arsenal Chief Rossoneri’s side.

Xhaka has already debunked rumours that he is moving to Milan, insisting he wants to fight for his place in Arsenal.

“When my shirt number lit up on the fourth official’s panel and our own fans broke into gleeful jubilation, that hit me very hard and really upset me,”. He said to Swiss Newspaper, Blick.

“It was very hurtful and frustrating. I can’t understand a reaction like that even now, especially the vehemence of it and the extreme hostility directed against me.

“Insulting and swearing at your own captain will cause upset and a bad atmosphere for the team you are actually supposed to be supporting, that makes no sense to me and weakens the team’s spirit.”

Xhaka is currently with his national team in Switzerland ahead of qualifying match against Georgia and Gibraltar.
