Granit Xhaka’s days in Arsenal may be over as he is reportedly a hot cake among top European clubs.
The former Arsenal captain was stripped of his captaincy by boss Unai Emery after insulting fans during Premier league match against Crystal Palace that ended in 2-2.
Although, Xhaka has since apologized for his outburst, things became worse after he was stripped of his captaincy and he wrote on instagram:
“Happiness is when you are satisfied with yourself and don’t need the confirmation of others.”
But it looks like all will soon be well for him again as several European clubs are eyeing him for the next transfer window.
It has been reported that Borussia Monchengladbach, Newcastle, Manchester United, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are all interested in signing the Swiss midfielder in their clubs.
According to The Sun, Arsenal want to sell Xhaka to Monchengladbach in exchange for Brazilian teen sensation, Denis Zakaria.
Zakaria has been in sizzling form since his debut for the Flemingos in July. Although, he had signed a new contract till 2024 with a release clause of £60m, Emery is interested in getting him to Arsenal.
Although Manchester City, Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly also interested in the 17-year old Brazilian, Arsenal remain the top contender for his signature courtesy of Gabriel Martinelli’s presence at the Emirates.
