Bayern Munich Consider Mauricio Pochettino As New Manager

Bayern Munich is considering former Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino, as new manager, according to reports from Sky in Germany.

Pochettino was sacked on Tuesday with a 12.5m compensation clause in his Spurs contract which will be paid to him in installments.

However, the payments stop when he is re-employed by another club within three to six months.

And now, there are reports that he is among top candidates to replace interim boss Hansi Flick who is temporarily in charge of Bayern Munich until January.

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag, Paris Saint-Germain head coach Thomas Tuchel, and former RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick who were linked to Bayern Munich have distanced themselves.

Arsene Wenger has also removed himself from top candidacy by taking up a job as FIFA’s new chief of global football development.

47-year old Pochettino has also been linked to Real Madrid for 2020 summer signing.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have reportedly joined the battle to sign the Argentine as current manager, Ernesto Valverde, is under pressure.
