Liverpool Beat Everton 5-2 To Retain Top Of Premier League

Liverpool thrashed Everton 5-2 at Anfied on Wednesday to extend Premier league top.

Divock Origi scored the opening goal in the 7th minute and Xherdan Shaqiri made it 2-0 eleven minutes later.

Everton’s Michael Keane just three minutes after the double lead.

Origi restored Liverpool’s lead before Sadio Mané made it 4-1. But Richarlison scored the second goal for Everton just before the first half ended.

It was the most number of goals scored in a single half of a Merseyside derby.

However, Gini Wijnaldum added the fifth goal for Liverpool deep into the second half.

The victory means Jurgen Klopp has claimed his 100th win in premier league as Liverpool remain unbeaten in 32 Premier League matches since a 1-2 defeat to Man City in January.

This is also the Reds’ longest ever run without defeat in English top-flight history.
