Roma scored through Diego Perotti’s penalty kick in the 68th minute.
VAR disallowed Juve’s Gonzalo Higuain goal as an offside while Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov missed an excellent headed opportunity to equalise despite encouraging chants from fans.
Juve now top Serie A table with 48 points with two points clear of Inter Milan who are second with 46 points.
