Neymar Jr. returned to top scoring form as he netted twice but couldn’t stop Monaco from holding PSG on a thrilling 3-3 draw in Ligue 1 match on Sunday at Parc des Princes.
The Brazilian striker opened the scoring in the 3rd minute of the game before goals from Gelson Martins and Wissam Ben Yedder placed Monaco in the lead.
Fode Ballo-Toure’s own-goal gave the hosts an equalizer while Neymar scored his second goal through penalty to make it 3-2.
But the champions were denied victory when Islam Slimani scored a 70th minute goal which was allowed after VAR check to level the game for Monaco.
Kylian Mbappe won a penalty after a foul by Martins but both he and Edison Cavani wasted an opportunity to score the winner at injury time.
PSG remain top of French Ligue 1 with 46 points while Monaco is 8th with 29 points.
