Florian Lejeune Scores Late 2-2 Equaliser For Newcastle Against Everton

Newcastle came from behind to draw 2-2 against Everton from Florian Lejeune’s late strikes on Tuesday’s premier league match.

Moise Kean scored the opening goal at the 30th minute before Dominic Calvert-Lewin doubled the lead at the 54th minute.

It was a comfortable game for Ancelotti’s more dominant side until substitute Lejeune stunned the Toffees with two stoppage time equalizers.

It was a sensational end of a game that Everton thought they would win which shows the resilient spirit of Newcastle who are now seven points clear of the relegation zone.

While Newcastle are delirious with their surprising success at Goodison Park, Everton will be disappointed as they lost the opportunity to close the gap on fifth placed Manchester United with two points.

Next, Everton meet Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday 1 February in premier league while Newcastle host Oxford United on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round.
