Tottenham claimed their first premier league win of 2020 by beating bottom side Norwich City 2-1 on Wednesday night.
Dele Alli scored at the 38th minute to give Spurs the lead after turning in Serge Aurier’s cross.
But Norwich equalised through Teemu Pukki’s 70th minute penalty after Ryan Sessegnon brought down Max Aarons inside the box.
The Canaries who were desperate to get out of the relegation zone went ahead to aim for a surprise and priceless win but Todd Cantwell’s cross was cut out with Pukki lurking unmarked inside the box before Cantwell lashed well over from the edge of the box.
Then Son Heung-min nodded in Alli’s deflected cross to deny Norwich the sought for victory and earn Tottenham their first 2020 premier league victory.
Mourinho’s side is now sixth in premier league while Norwich remain at the bottom of the league.
Next, Tottenham travel to Southampton on Saturday, 25 January for FA Cup while Norwich visit Burnley at the same time for same FA Cup.
