Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winning goal against Brentford to help Leicester City reach the fourth round in FA Cup.
The Nigerian international scored the Foxes lone goal in the 4th minute.
Leicester were obviously the better team and could have doubled the goal through Perez Ayoze but a brilliant save from Brentford’s keeper Luke Daniels denied them the double lead.
However, the Bees intensified their efforts in the second half and could have scored the equalizer when Emiliano Marcondes’ cross beat everyone and hit the post.
The hosts continued to press for an equalizer and Leicester’s keeper was forced to make several saves. Second-half substitute Bryan Mbeumo’s goal was ruled out for offside.
The game ended emotionally for Brentford fans whose side will move to the newly built Brentford Community Stadium before the 2020-21 campaign.
