Man Utd Make Last Minute Move To Sign Odion Ighalo Before Deadline Day

2020 January transfer window deadline Day is rapidly approaching and Manchester United are making last minutes effort to sign Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo on loan for six months.

Ighalo played for Watford between 2014 and 2017 where he scored 39 goals in 99 matches.

The 30-year-old then moved to Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua and has scored 10 times in 19 games.

Ighalo also finished top scorer in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with seven goals and scored five times in the tournament in 2019 where Nigeria emerged third.

Although, the loan deal hasn’t been completed yet, there are reports that United are confident on signing him.

There are reports that the Nigerian striker has already agreed on personal terms with the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, Old Trafford’s bid for Bournemouth’s Josh King have ended negatively.

King joined United at the age of 16 in 2008 but – after making two senior appearances – joined Blackburn five years later before joining Bournemouth in 2015.

But United have completed the biggest deal of the January transfer window in signing midfielder Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon for an initial £47m.
