Liverpool Boss Jurgen Klopp Named PL Manager Of The Season

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp beat Chelsea’s Frank Lampard, Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers and Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder to become Premier League’s manager of the 2019/20 season.

The German tactician led Liverpool to win their first premier league title in 30 years with 18 points higher than the closest challengers Manchester City at the top of the league’s table.

The Reds only dropped two points in the league before a 3-0 defeat at Watford on February 29 ended their unbeaten run.

Klopp’s side wrapped up the Premier League title with seven games to spare following the resumption of action amid the coronavirus crisis – breaking the record for the earliest top-flight title win in England.

Liverpool also became reigning European, World and Premier League champions.

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold was also named Premier League’s Young Player of the season on Friday.

Frank Lampard was nominated after guiding Chelsea to a top-four spot and FA Cup final. Chris Wilder was recognized for leading Sheffield United to the top ten in premier league while Brendan Rodgers’ side missed a Champions League spot after ending 5th at the league’s table.
