Joe Hart Complete Signing As Tottenham Hotspur Goalkeeper

Former Manchester City and Burnley goalkeeper, Joe Hart have completed signing for Tottenham on a contract that will finish in 2022.

The 33-year-old who became a free agent after his contract with Burnley finished at the end of 2019/2020 season underwent a successful medical on Monday.

He started one match in the Carabao Cup and two in the FA Cup, spending the season as the second choice goalkeeper at Turf Moor behind Nick Pope.

The former England no. 1 will compete with Paulo Gazzaniga for Hugo Lloris’ No 1 spot in Jose Mourinho’s squad next season.

Hart had won two premier league titles, two league cups and one FA Cup for Manchester City but has struggled during his stay at Burnley.

“I’m totally open. I just want to play at the highest level I can.” He told The Guardian in May.

“In England, I don’t feel I am going to be able to do that. Maybe if I hadn’t achieved what I’ve done in this league I might not be so ready to step away.

“Don’t get me wrong. I’d love to have another big chance in England, but it could be difficult.”

Hart also went on loan to Serie A side Torino during the 2017/2018 campaign.
