Nigerian Winger Also Eligible To Play For England And Bulgaria, Signs New Deal With Fulham

Fulham have announced the signing of promising Nigerian winger Sylvester Jasper to the newly promoted premier league club.

Jasper, who is also eligible to play for England and Bulgaria on the international level, was given the new deal at Fulham until the summer of 2023 following his senior breakthrough last season.

The 18-year-old made his professional debut against Manchester City in the Emirates FA Cup in January 2020, before featuring in two Championship matches against Brentford and Birmingham City after lockdown.

“I’m delighted to have signed a new contract with this great Club, especially after a great season for myself personally,” said Jasper.

“And the Club winning promotion to the Premier League makes it even more special.

“My main focus now is to work hard and help the team any way I can to have a good season in the Prem.”

Jasper was born to Nigerian parents in London and represented England at youth level.

He scored nine goals and provided ten assists in the U18 Premier League South last season, helping the Cottagers win the title, and also featured in the FA Youth Cup, Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy.
