Ronaldo Snubbed As Messi, Lewandowski, Sterling, Neymar Make UCL Squad Of The Season

Cristiano Ronaldo was overlooked in UEFA Champions League Squad Of The Season in which Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, Raheem Sterling, Neymar among others are included.

The 23-man squad was chosen by UEFA’s Technical Observers and published on their official website on Friday.

Other players to make the squad are Kylian Mbappe, Virgil van Dijk, Jan Oblak, David Alaba, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Muller, Thiago Alcantara, Kevin de Bruyne and Marquinhos.

Ronaldo and Juventus were knocked out in the round of 16 by Lyon.

The Portuguese star scored Juve’s two goals in their 2-1 home win but crashed out after losing the first-leg 1-0.

Messi and Barcelona were 8-2 humiliated out of the league by Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals.

Bayern Munich were eventually crowned winners of this season’s UEFA Champions League after beating Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final.

It was their first Champions League title since 2013 and a sixth in their history.

The Bavarians are now the second European club to win the treble twice after Barcelona.
