Nations League: Ronaldo Scores 100th International Goal As Portugal Beat Sweden

Cristiano Ronaldo has made history by becoming the first European player to score 100 international goals after scoring twice in Portugal’s 2-0 win over 10-man Sweden.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner made the landmark achievement when he converted a free kick after veteran Swedish midfielder Gustav Svensson was sent off, having collected two yellow cards before halftime.

Ronaldo then fired the second from the edge of the penalty area at the 72nd minute of the game.

Portugal have won their two opening Nations League fixtures and top the table ahead of France, who beat Croatia 4-2 in Paris.
