Everton 4-2 Brighton: Iwobi Bags An Assist As Toffees Continue Perfect EPL Start

Alex Iwobi bagged an assist as Everton continued their perfect Premier League start by stunning Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2 at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Iwobi substituted injured Richarlison and set up James Rodriguez for Everton’s third goal.

The Toffees went 3-1 up in the 53rd minute when Rodriguez slotted home Iwobi’s left-foot low across.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring in 16 minutes of the game to continue an impressive run.

Neal Maupay levelled the game for Brighton four minutes to the end of the first half.

However, a brace from Rodriguez in the 52nd and 70th minutes as well as a goal from Colombian teammate Yerry Mina in the 45th minute made it 4-1.

Yves Bissouma scored a consolation goal for Brighton in the 90th minute to end the game at 4-2.

The Toffees have now won all four of their Premier League home meetings with Brighton, scoring 10 goals and conceding three.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side now top Premier League table with 12 points.
