Victor Moses Set To Leave Chelsea After Missing Out On Champions League Squad

Former Super Eagles star Victor Moses is set to leave Chelsea after he failed to make the Champions League squad this season.

The 29-year-old will reportedly move to Russian outfit Spartak Moscow on a season-long loan.

Moses returned to Stamford Bridge after a loan spell at Inter Milan and an earlier spell at Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce where he scored five goals in 20 key games.

Although his contract at Chelsea ends in 2021, Frank Lampard has made it clear that there are no plans for the Nigerian winger in the club.

Inter Milan made attempts to re-sign him on loan before the transfer window closed but their efforts failed to materialise.

Meanwhile, reports that the former Super Eagles attacker is expected to undergo medical a few days from now before officially becoming a Spartak Moscow player.

With the transfer window in Russia still open, the Nigerian star still has time to join them and find regular playing time again.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan Athletic in 2012 and has won one Premier League, a Europa League, and one FA Cup in the London club.

He has also spent time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City, West Ham United before Fenerbahce and Inter.
