Super Eagles Test Negative For Coronavirus Ahead Of Tunisia Friendly

The Super Eagles of Nigeria tested negative for the coronavirus.

Recall that FrujuSports had reported that the entire Nigerian team and staff had undergone a coronavirus test on Monday as part of preparation for Tuesday’s friendly clash against Tunisia scheduled to hold at Jacques Lemans Arena, Austria.

“Ahead of tonight’s friendly game against Tunisia, all @NGSuperEagles players have tested negative to COVID19. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” reads a tweet on the NFF’s official Twitter handle.

Eagles assistant captain William Troost-Ekong and Samuel Kalu will not be available for the game.

Nigeria had defeated Tunisia 1-0 in their last encounter with the North Africans which was the third-place match at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The three-time African champions are looking to bounce back from their recent 1-0 defeat by Algeria in last Friday’s friendly.

Meanwhile, the time for Tunisia clash is 7:30pm Nigerian time.
