Man City 1-0 Arsenal: Raheem Sterling Hits Winner

Skipper Raheem Sterling scored the only goal as Manchester City returned to winning ways in the Premier League clash against Arsenal.

Sterling who was captained, with Fernandinho on the bench and Kevin de Bruyne injured, finished off the rebound after Phil Foden’s 23rd-minute shot had been saved.

Arsenal had chances to equalise but City keeper Ederson denied them with three excellent first-half saves.

Both David Luiz and Pepe were also off target with free-kicks in good positions after the break.

Sergio Aguero also returned after being away since June last year due to injury but he was restricted to an hour’s action.

The result means Arsenal have failed to win their last 29 Premier League matches against City since 2015.

Pep Guardiola is yet to concede a win to the Gunners at Etihad Stadium since taking over from Manuel Pellegrini as City manager in 2016.
