AFCON Qualifiers: Iwobi, Aina, Balogun, Aribo Arrive Eagles Camp

Five Super Eagles players have reported for international duty ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup Of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone on Friday.

Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Fulham’s Ola Aina and Rangers duo Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun arrived Edo State ahead of the match.

Also joining them is Watford’s William Troost-Ekong who joined the rest of the squad.

Ahmed Musa, Kevin Akpoguma, Sebastian Osigwe, Zaidu Sanusi, Tyronne Ebuehi, Oghenekaro Etebo and Maduka Okoye have already shown up in camp.

A surprising presence is Oluchukwu Ezenwa who was not called up since he hasn’t been active in football.

Akpoguma, Osigwe and Okoye are seeking to make their competitive debuts for Nigeria against the Leone Stars.

The former Germany U20 skipper has made a one-time switch to represent the Super Eagles while goalkeepers Okoye and Osigwe would become cap-tied to the three-time African champions if handed minutes in any of the two matches this month.
