Sierra Leone Captain Bangura Confirms Readiness To Face Nigeria

Leone Stars captain Umaru Bangura has confirmed his readiness to face Nigeria in the Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier on Friday.

Bangura was initially excluded from the Leone Stars squad after contracting coronavirus.

However, the former Dinamo Minsk defender recovered and declared that he is 100% fit to play.

Meanwhile,the squad have arrived camp in full preparation for the upcoming game against the Super Eagles.

Anderlecht forward Mustapha Bundu and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Osman Kakay trained with their teammates at the Freetown Stadium on Tuesday morning as the Leone Stars intensify preparations ahead of Friday’s clash against Nigeria.

Finland-based midfielder Mohamed Medo Kamara, Orebro SK left-back Kevin Wright, LA Galaxy top scorer Augustine Williams, former Milan midfielder Rodney Strasser and Randers striker Alhaji Kamara all trained with the team.

The full Sierra Leone delegation will be in Nigeria latest on Wednesday with SN Polten midfielder George Davies missing the first leg tie.
