The Champions League last 16 tie has been released with very interesting fixtures as Chelsea face La Liga second placed Atletico Madrid while champions Bayern Munich face Lazio.

RB Leipzig who knocked out group table toppers Manchester United, were drawn against Liverpool.

A surprise inclusion of the fixture is German side Borussia Monchengladbach, who are in the knockout stages for the first time in their history. The newcomers will face Manchester City.

The English interestingly avoided Lionel Messi’s Barcelona who will face Neymar-less Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar sustained a severe ankle injury during Ligue 1 match against Lyon at the weekend and has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The ties will take place over two legs, with seeded group winners playing away in the first legs and at home in the return matches.

The first leg will take place on February 15/16 and 23/24 while the second legs will be on March 9/10 and 16/17.
