Man City 4-0 Crystal Palace: City Cruise To Second Position In Premier League

Manchester City cruised to the second position in the Premier League after hammering Crystal Palace 4-0 on Sunday night at the Etihad Stadium.

It was a also a history making night for Kevin De Bruyne who registered his 100th assist, 31 more than any other City player since making his debut for the club.

Crystal Palace were unbeaten in their last two visits to The Etihad, but Man City were in control throughout and took the lead with a milestone goal.

John Stones started the scoring with De Bruyne assist in the 26th minute. Man City added another shortly after the break with a sensational 56th minute strike from Ilkay Gundogan.

Stones slotted home his second of the evening after Vicente Guaita had initially saved Ruben Dias’ header in his first-ever Premier League double.

Raheem Sterling rounded up the victorious night with a sublime free-kick to catapult City to just two points behind League leaders Manchester United.

It was a perfect gift for Pep Guardiola who celebrates his 50th birthday on Monday.
