Fenerbahce hope to announce the official signing of Mesut Ozil on Monday.
Ozil who finished a period of quarantine in Turkey on Friday, is in the final stages of completing the move to his boyhood club on a three-and-a-half-year deal as a free agent.
According to Fenerbarce president Ali Koç, the World Cup winner will take part in a light training session with the rest of the squad on Sunday if he passes a medical and returns a negative Covid-19 test.
Ozil, who was also linked to Major League Soccer side DC United, is expected to be formally presented by the Super Lig club on Tuesday or Wednesday.
The center midfielder agreed to terminate his contract at Arsenal six months early to facilitate his move to the Turkish side.
The former Real Madrid star was sidelined from Arsenal Premier League and Europa League squad by club manager Mikel Arteta for unknown reasons.
The 32-year-old joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013 for what was then a club-record fee of £42m and has helped the club win the FA Cup three times.
He has scored 44 goals and registered 77 assists in 254 appearances for the club.
