The Super Eagles of Nigeria thrashed the Crocodiles of Lesotho in the final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday evening.
Goals from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Paul Onuachu helped the Eagles cruise to a well deserved victory at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Lagos.
Osimhen was named Man Of The Match for his great performance in the game.
The Napoli star scored the opening goal in the early first half and set up the second goal by Etebo. He was replaced by Onuachu who went ahead to beat the third goal for the Super Eagles.
Osimhen is now the joint highest goal scorer in the qualifying games, taking his tally to five goals alongside Zambia’s Patson Daka.
Meanwhile, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated the Super Eagles over their impressive performance at the Teslim Balogun stadium.
The Governor took to twitter after the game to laud the senior national team and urged them to conquer the main tournament in Cameroon.
