More Super Eagles Matches Will Be Brought To Lagos – NFF

Following the successful hosting of the Africa Cup of Nations final qualifiers in Lagos, the Nigerian Football Federation has assured that more international matches will be played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

The Super Eagles defeated the Crocodiles of Lesotho 3-0 to round up the AFCON qualifiers with an unbeaten record.

Nigeria finished top of Group L with 14 points and have qualified for the major AFCON tournament in Cameroon in 2022.

Football returned to Lagos stadium after a 20-year absence and according to Complete Sports, a source at NFF has disclosed the football body’s delight with the attitude of fans during the game between Nigeria and Lesotho on Tuesday.

The source also revealed that more matches will be played in Lagos.

“I am so delighted with the performance of the Super Eagles against the Crocodile of Lesotho in Tuesday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

“It was a great delight for me considering the fact that football has returned back to Lagos after 20-year of absence. You see the mood from fans who came to watch the Super Eagles against Lesotho.

“I Can assure you that more matches will be brought to Lagos before the end of the year by the grace of God.”
