Nigeria Climbs 32nd In Latest FIFA World Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have climbed for 36th to 32nd in the latest FIFA world ranking released on Wednesday.

The ranking was published on the world football body’s official website.

Nigeria’s final 2021 AFCON qualifiers played a role in the improved ranking.

The Eagles beat Benin Republic 1-0 at Port Novo on March 27 before they thrashed Lesotho 3-0 at Teslim Balogun stadium three days later.

Nigeria is now third in Africa behind Senegal (22) and Tunisia (26).

Algeria (33), Morocco (34), Egypt (46), Ghana (49), Cameroon (55), Mali (57), and Ivory Coast (59) completes Africa’s top ten ranked countries.

Meanwhile, Belgium remain no. 1 in the world while France (2), Brazil (3), England (4) and Portugal (5) make up the top five.
