“We Didn’t Create Enough Chances” Guardiola Reacts To Man City Shock Defeat To 10-Man Leeds United

Pep Guardiola has said Manchester City forwards were not given enough chances in their shocking loss to 10-Man Leeds United on Saturday’s premier league match at Etihad Stadium.

Stuart Dallas scored an injury-time winner for Leeds United despite being short of one player Liam Cooper who was sent off for his tackle on Gabriel Jesus just before halftime.

Dallas gave the visitors an surprise lead in the 42nd minute with a low shot that went in off the inside of a post.

City predictably dominated the second period but were made to wait until the 76th minute for their equaliser, when Ferran Torres drove home his first Premier League goal since December.

But it was Leeds who ended the game triumphantly leaving second placed Manchester United the chance to cut City’s lead to eight points.

Guardiola told BBC Match of the Day: “We did not create enough for the forwards. It is part of the game.

“In the last 10 minutes they had other chances, they are fast and can do it. When they defend in the way they were doing you have to stop them running and we did not do that.

“We are going to rest and prepare two days for the game in Dortmund and decide on how we are going to play.”

City must now take 11 points from their remaining six games to guarantee a third league title in four seasons.
