Aiyenugba Elated At Musa’s Return To NPFL

Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba has expressed his happiness over Ahmed Musa’s return to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

Kano Pillars made an announcement on Tuesday night confirming that Ahmed Musa will be unveiled by Kano state Governor Ganduje.

Musa decided to return to the Nigerian topflight after he failed to return to the English Premier League when he couldn’t close a deal with West Brom in the last transfer window.

Musa who scored 18 goals in a season for Kano Pillars, left the NPFL giants for Europe in 2011.

Kwara United will be hosting Kano Pillars at the Ilorin stadium on July 4 in which Aiyenugba will be facing his former teammate in the Super Eagles Ahmed Musa.

Speaking with, Aiyenugba said Musa’s return to Kano Pillars will help the NPFL.

”It was a good decision and I want to welcome Ahmed Musa back to the Nigerian League as I am sure that he will definitely enjoy his stay at Kano Pillars because he is not new there.

”We were teammates for years in the Super Eagles and very close and all I can say about Ahmed Musa is that he is a gentle and humble person who always want peace.

”I can’t wait for me to face him in the League when my team Kwara United tackle Kano Pillars. It will be interesting.”
