Arsenal Confirm Balogun Has Signed New Long-Term Contract

Arsenal have confirmed that American-born striker of Nigerian descent Folarin Balogun has committed his future to the club by signing a new four-year deal.

The Premier League giants confirmed the deal in a statement on their official website.

Balogun has been on the books of Arsenal since the age of nine, rising through the ranks before making his professional debut in a Europa League fixture versus Dundalk back in October.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta commented on Balogun’s new deal: “We have been extremely impressed with Flo this season.

“He has continually shown his natural ability in many training sessions with us and we have been equally impressed with his early integration into the first-team squad on matchdays.

“He has given us glimpses with the performances and of course with his two goals already for the first team.

“The hard work starts here for Flo and we are all looking forward to supporting and working with him in the years to come.”

Meanwhile, Balogun has made six appearances for Arsenal’s first team this season, scoring two goals, away at Molde and Dundalk in the group stage of the Europa League.
