Chelsea grabbed an important goal in a 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League semifinal first leg on Tuesday.
The Blues made a fine start dominating the game and Christian Pulisic rounded Thibaut Courtois to net the lead for Thomas Tuchel’s side in the 14th minute.
Real Madrid, who were the underdogs compared to the bright and bubbly Chelsea managed to get back into the game when Karim Benzema fired the equaliser in the 29th minute.
The rest of the game was very uninspiring as both sides looked content with their lots and made no extra efforts to win the game.
Former Chelsea star Eden Hazard was introduced for Madrid 25 minutes to time but even he couldn’t motivate a better performance from his team.
Both sides will meet again next Wednesday May 5 at Stamford Bridge to decide who reaches the final in Istanbul on May 29.
